Volunteer Programme for Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2027
Expressions of Interest for the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2027 Volunteer Programme are now open. Following the record-breaking success of Fleadh Belfast 2026, we’re excited to welcome new and returning volunteers to be part of another unforgettable All-Ireland Fleadh experience.
The 2026 Fleadh in Belfast was a landmark moment for the city. With over 1.6 million people attending throughout the week, it became the most attended Fleadh ever and one of the largest cultural events Belfast has ever hosted.
Volunteers are the heartbeat of the Fleadh
Volunteers played a vital role in creating a warm, welcoming and memorable experience for performers, visitors and local communities. Their dedication and enthusiasm shaped the atmosphere of the entire week.
In 2026, Volunteer Now recruited more than 1,300 volunteers, delivering 3,500 shifts across key roles including:
- Street ambassadors - helping visitors navigate the city and Fleadh venues
- Competition support - assisting at Fleadh competitions and performance spaces
- Fringe events - supporting community and cultural events across Belfast
- Scoil Éigse - helping deliver workshops and learning experiences
Volunteers joined us from across Belfast, throughout Ireland and around the world to welcome the Fleadh to the city for the first time.
Volunteer Programme for 2027
Building on the success of 2026, Volunteer Now is delighted to once again manage the Volunteer Programme for Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2027, taking place from Sunday 1 August to Sunday 8 August.
