Volunteer at the Fleadh in Belfast
Fleadh 2026 was a defining moment for Belfast and the event. With a recorded footfall of 1.6 million, it was one of the largest cultural events ever hosted in the city. At the centre of that success were the volunteers from across the world who shaped the warmth and energy of the entire celebration. Their commitment created memorable experiences for performers, families, competitors and communities.
Volunteer Now recruited more than 1,300 volunteers for the 2026 event, delivering 3,500 shifts across key roles:
-
Street ambassadors - guiding visitors around the city and Fleadh venues
-
Competition support - assisting at competition and performance spaces
-
Fringe events - supporting cultural and community events across Belfast
-
Scoil Éigse - helping deliver workshops and learning experiences
