Fleadh Fringe - City Centre
The energy of the Fleadh in Belfast will extend beyond the main stages and venues with a fringe festival that brings the city’s rich cultural diversity to life through street animations, art installations and pop‑up performances.
We asked the cultural and community sector of Belfast to respond to the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann; to create work that embodies the spirit of the Fleadh, that showcases what makes Belfast unique and invites visitors into our city and neighbourhoods.
Over 100 official events are planned for city centre, north, south, east and west Belfast, animating spaces and engaging with communities before, during and after the Fleadh. Collaborating with more than 500 artists and 70 organisations, fringe events will transform the city with street performances, art installations, live music, poetry, theatre and unexpected pop-up experiences. Whether you're discovering hidden gems, seeking out experiences or simply soaking up the atmosphere, there will be something to enjoy around every corner.
The Fringe Festival invites you to explore beyond the familiar, discover the people and places that make Belfast special, and experience a city that is proud to welcome visitors and share its stories.
