Ó Fhonnadoireacht go Greanadoireacht: from Sean nós songs to Woodcut Prints presented by Colm Brennan

Mayo native, Colm Brennan is an internationally renowned sculptor who has lived in North Wexford for many years. He had published extensive volumes of poetry and self-composed traditional songs in Irish and English. During the Fleadh, in Green Acres Gallery, he is exhibiting a series of woodcuts depicting Sean Nós songs which are also available in book form.
In his presentation, Colm will present a small number of his woodcuts outlining how and why he embarked on this work. Of course, Sean Nós songs are the inspiration for this work and are central to the entire initiative.
