Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann
Comhaltas is an international organisation that promotes the culture of Ireland through music, language, dance across the world.
It all began in 1951 when representatives of the Pipers Club, Dublin, travelled to Mullingar with a view of forming a branch of the Pipers Club in Mullingar. It was at this meeting that a decision to include all traditional instruments was made.
Today, Comhaltas is a global movement with branches in 22 countries and growing.
