Mo Cheol is a collection of fifty-two original Irish dance tunes, marches and airs which were inspired by the topography, culture and people from the Southeast region of Ireland. Compositions range from the Wexford Suite; Forth Mountain (March), Crashing Waves at Hook Head (Polka), Road to the Wexford Fleadh (Reel) and Páidí’s Jig to the Ferns Abbey (Hornpipe), Enniscorthy Promenade (Barn dance), Mount Leinster Way (Polka), Wexford Jersey (Double Jig), Mary’s Smile (Slip Jig), An Rinn (Slow Air) and the Dawn Mist Over Tramore Bay (Waltz). The compositions in Mo Cheol are all presented as single-line melodies with chordal accompaniment. Alongside these, fourteen pieces have also been orchestrated and arranged for Irish traditional instruments
