The Ard-Ollamh Award winner this year is Tom Doorly (Dublin). Tom is a well-known composer and performer, best known as a member of renowned Traditional band Danú, and as director of the National Folk Orchestra.
The event consists of a gala dinner, awards presentation, and a keynote performance by Tom and his guests.
The event takes place in the Bloomfield House Hotel, Mullingar, on Wednesday night, 9 August 2023, at 7:30pm. The cost per ticket is €50 including the 4-course meal and all entertainment.
