Homeowner Testimonials

“We rented our house for the Fleadh Cheoil last year. Within a day of advertising I had rented our house to a lovely family of musicians from Kerry. They left the house immaculate and were really respectful of our home and our neighbours. I would not hesitate to do it again, we had an excellent experience!”

“Last year I advertised a single room in my house for accommodation for the Fleadh. A lovely gentleman from Sligo, a judge in some of the competitions stayed for 3 nights. I was proud to provide a tasty breakfast and some hospitality. He was more than impressed by the wonderful organisation and success of the Fleadh Cheoil in Drogheda.”

“We were delighted to support the success of the Drogheda Fleadh by opening up our home to guests.  Our guests were lovely and we look forward to welcoming them back for 2019.”

“I decided to host guests for the duration of the Fleadh 2018 and I could never have anticipated how it would impact on the family as a whole. We had guests from Texas, Donegal, Wexford, Clare and Limerick. The young kids who stayed inspired my own to keep up the music and they began asking for other instruments. Already the rooms are booked again for 2019.”

Yvonne, Dublin Road, Drogheda, Co. Louth

“I rented out my home for Drogheda Fleadh 2018, I accommodated a group of 9 adults from Belfast, that have been going to Fleadhs for the past 20 years. I had no problems whatsoever from renting my home and would definitely do it again. Last year the Fleadh Cheoil was so successful that my children want to be here this year, so I am renting 3 bedrooms and if I get a nice family, they will be well looked after and feel most welcome.”
